Transportation
Townsite marina is situated roughly mid-way along the picturesque
sea-wall promenade. The Departure Bay Ferry terminal is 2km
to the north, and downtown is 2km away to the south.
Ferry service between Vancouver Island and the Mainland is
accessible from the Departure Bay terminal located 2 km north
of the Marina.
The Duke Point terminal, located 15km
south of the Marina has several sailings to Tssawassen on
a daily basis. Call 1-888-724-5223 for reservations and 1-888-223-3779
for sailing schedule information.
Seaplane service is available from both the Nanaimo Seaplane
Terminal (located in the harbour basin) and the Brechin Point
Fuel Dock near the Departure Bay ferry terminal.

The Nanaimo Airport is located approximately 15km south of
the Marina. For information on domestic and international

Bus service is available around the city with a stop conveniently
located right outside the Marina. Current local bus schedules
can be obtained from the Marina office, or by calling the
Nanaimo Regional Transit System at 250-390-4531. Bus service
to other Vancouver Island and Mainland destinations can be
arranged by calling 250-753-4371 or by visiting the bus depot
at the Howard Johnson Inn (a five minute walk from the Marina). |

Townsite Marina has a convenient central location, and its
proximity to various modes of transportation make arrivals
and departures both convenient and pleasurable.
